Vision Quest

A Vision Quest is a powerful pan-cultural rite-of-passage that invites participants to reconnect with who they are in nature through a period of solo fasting, in a safe and facilitated environment. The process involves interaction with participants, facilitators, one's own personal history and value systems, as well as time for solitude and reflection. The act of Vision Questing stems from land-based peoples traditions and their rites of passage celebrations. It is an ancient way of experiencing and exploring self on the earth; of clarifying, renewing, determining and seeing.

Transformational

Physical, spiritual, mental and emotional gateway to personal, community and societal transformation through the practice of fasting safely alone in nature within a community of fellow seekers.

A ceremony / ritual that marks the passage between the old and new, the letting go and letting come, a process of stepping through the threshold into the liminal and back. An initiation that marks a transition as sacred.

This is an opportunity to join a small group of women, in a valley nestled amongst ancient boulders, to be with our collective and individual grief, exhaustion, responsibilities. A time to stare wide-eyed into the red landscape.

Accommodation upgrades are available on request.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot.

Bursary places or part-bursary supported places are available – please ask if you are in need and if you are able to make an additional contribution so that another woman in need may be assisted to attend – we would welcome that.

You are responsible for your own transport there and back, but we will connect the group to enable shared rides.

Cost

Basic cost for local participants (South Africa and SADC residents): R15 000

Basic cost for International participants: $1500

Make a voluntary contribution to the scholarship fund:

Participants who are in a financial position to pay R2500 / $250 additionally to support a local South African participant without the means to pay for the quest, are encouraged to do so in support of equitable access for all.

You are responsible for your own travel costs to and from Cape Town. All costs covered once the Vision Quest starts.
